We are looking for a Design Engineer for the Network Services Applied Engineering team
Design and establish configuration management documentation per NMCI guidelines. Analyze proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.
Establish Design baselines.
Authorize the release of drawings and changes specified by Program or Engineering Management.
Provide advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.
Plan and implement methods to improve response.
Act as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation.
Performs audit to verify compliance with contract requirements.
Design major components or major portions of a functional system to develop or improve products within the NMCI.
Utilize CAD equipment to develop basic data and make preliminary layouts, sketches and notes necessary to present design proposals.
Investigate and make decisions regarding pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements and cost.
This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
8570 compliance (Security+ CE preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field work experience
8-10 years relevant experience
Must be a US Citizen
