Responsibilities

Develops products and provides sustaining engineering support to internal and external customers. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Member of a concurrent engineering design team. Does not have direct reports.

  • Performs design work which requires a comprehensive knowledge of product line and design

  • Creates drawings and bill of materials for new designs including pressure vessels

  • Reviews technical specifications, analyzes technical data to determine appropriate limits and variables for product specification.

  • Analyzes, develops and recommends design approaches required to meet production requirements

  • Prepares stress analysis to aid in design of manufactured parts

  • Carryout and adhere to ECR/ECO process

  • Drive continuous improvement in product line by reducing cost, lead time, and production time

  • Able to reprioritize work when customer demands change

  • Works well with engineering and production personnel

  • Provides sustaining engineering support for one or more products.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in mechanical engineering, 0-2 years' experience.
  • Computer skills: Autocad Inventor or similar 3D CAD modeling, Vault, Autocad, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
