Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineering mechanical or automation alterations and additions to MULTIVAC machines and tooling by analyzing sales sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to draft designs
  • Use MULTIVAC tools, methods, and processes, as well as innovative solutions to solve customer requirements
  • Develop package design and drawings
  • Post-installation support for mechanical or automated systems designed in house as well as designs from other MULTIVAC locations
  • Assist with design and engineering solutions to aid in resolving customer service support issues
  • Keep up-to-date on field developments and trends

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in related fields with vendor selection, line optimization, product conveying and channelizing
  • Two Three Four and possibly 5 axis robot integration
  • End-effector design a plus
  • Mechanical design with SolidWorks, and Line creation
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail

This group is responsible for managing and designing some of the largest and most significant projects in the country. HNTB's Design/Build Delivery Group provides design, production and technical expertise for the successful delivery of these high profile projects. Job Summary Within a given discipline, is fully competent to complete engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery with minimal direction. On tasks basis, is responsible for preparation and completion of discipline engineering efforts that are responsive to project needs. Coordinates preparation of design details, plans, and drawings within assigned task areas. Essential Responsibility * Responsible for completion of discipline engineering project elements such as reports, designs, specifications and plans. * Responsible for coordination and productivity of subordinates. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers. * Works closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projects. * Performs other duties as assigned. Additional ResponsibilitiesTravel 50% +Basic Qualification Bachelor's degree in Engineering 5 years relevant experience EITPreferred Qualification/Skills5 or more years of experience in the, design, management and implementation of highway/roadway or railway civil engineering transportation projects. Experience in 3D modeling using Inroads, Open Roads, Inrail, or Civil 3D. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). *LI-NFGeneral Work Conditions Combination Office and Field Environment: Most work is performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work may infrequently be performed at client's job site, construction trailer, and in the field. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment and doing extensive walking.
