Design Engineer

The Waldinger Corporation, a growing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal industry leader, is adding a Project Design Engineer to our Des Moines team!

In this role, you'll lead the creation and design of facility HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. This engineer will be crucial to the development and expansion of the team. Ideal candidates will have a background in mechanical engineering and many years of success in the mechanical design industry.

Responsibilities:

• Leads peer review of design progress and coordinates with Operations Division on design and cost control related matters.

• Creates PDF design sketches, supervises and reviews engineering modeling, and assists Designers/Detailers in determining conflict resolution.

• Leads internal commissioning process on assigned projects.

• Engages customers & solicits their feedback on an ongoing basis.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Construction preferred)

• 5+ years in a design related role

• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCad software (Revit Preference a plus!)

• Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer

• Should be detailed oriented, with strong time management
