The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Design Engineer Intern. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Design Engineer Intern Job Responsibilities:
Create pdf from .dwg files
Redline draft drawings - red to black lines from checkers
Fix 3D models from checker comments
Drop isometrics/spool from model
Build construction install packages.
Model 3D equipment
Model download/RFQ
Re-type specifications from client when mark-ups made
Annotate plans and sections (2D AutoCAD work)
Laser scan and use point clouds to 3D model
Visit field sites for hands on engineering
Learn pipe sizing and structural steel calculations
Design Engineer Intern Qualification/ Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus
Experience and Requirements:
Candidate should be pursuing a degree in civil, mechanical, industrial or construction management
Candidate should have completed at least one year of the appropriate study
Candidate will be expected to work 20-25 hours/week during fall and/or spring semesters (part-time)
Candidate will have the opportunity to work for 40 hours/week during summer (full-time)
