Design Engineer I

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Produce mechanical design drawings for assembly of various equipment.

• Produce equipment BOMs in ERP system.

• Research / review customer specifications to ensure compliance.

• Research / review available as-built drawings.

• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a cohesive system design.

• Make drawing corrections / revisions as needed to meet the design and manufacturability requirements.

• Report drawing status to the Systems Engineer as required, maintaining the project schedule.

• Improve professional and technical knowledge by attending training as required by MHS management.

• Contribute by accomplishing various miscellaneous tasks as required.

• Travel to customer sites required up to 5%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1-2 years experience or Associates degree with 5 years experience.

• Zero to 3 years' experience in mechanical conveyor / machine design, including the ability to work with mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, basic electrical controllers.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Reports to work on-time and in compliance with company attendance policy.

The base salary range for this role is $55,800 to $83,700. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
