We are currently seeking a Design Engineer I to work in the curtain wall division of our White Bear Lake office. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of experience in structural engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design of aluminum framed building facades under the supervision of a licensed structural engineer
Read and interpret project plans, specifications, shop drawings and other construction documents
Provide clients with efficient engineering design that adheres to the jurisdiction's current building codes and standards
Will learn to think critically about unique structures and their solutions
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Undergraduate coursework must show emphasis in structural design
Strong project organization and management skills
Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Engineering-in-training (EIT) certificate, or the ability to obtain within one year
Previous experience in aluminum design
Experience with structural analysis software (such as MathCad, RISA or STAAD)
Familiarity with AutoCAD design software
