An Aircraft Component Design Engineer job in St. Louis, MO is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, and minimum five years of experience of design and development with aircraft components. Knowledge with products that meet military standards or FAA standards. In this role, you will be responsible for new product designs and redesign of products per client's request depending on their needs and specifications. This is a very visible, direct hire opportunity with a growing company and opportunity for growth.

Design Engineer Job Duties:

  • Provide engineering knowledge to guarantee that products are created with accordance to the customer and company quality requirements.

  • Involved in the design of new products, as well as the redesign of products per the customers request.

  • Potentially work as a project manager as assigned.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once from concept to completion.

  • Heavily involved on the testing of products - must be able to perform CAD modelling, assist in prototype creation, and write technical reports.


  • Minimum of 5 years in aircraft component design and development.

  • Must have experience in writing component specifications, or designing products to meet those specifications.

  • Self-motivated and creative - must be able to work independently or with a team.

  • Minimum of a Bachelors in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • Experience in 3D CAD modelling.

  • Experience in aircraft fuel or hydraulics systems and Solidworks is preferred

  • Knowledge of FEA preferred

We are seeking an engineer to help develop advanced avionic capabilities for the F-22 Raptor aircraft in St. Louis, Missouri. As an F-22 Raptor engineer you will be designing and developing requirements related to Link-16 integration to continue to advance the world's premier air superiority fighter.
