Design Engineer

Architectural metal company in San Diego, CA is seeking a Design Engineer to add to their team.

Description:

Designing panel systems, exterior on a building, metal panel/façade, metal railing systems and other artwork/metal work

Utilize AutoCAD, Solidworks and Fusion 360 for Sheet Metal Design

Skills:

Autocad, Sheet Metal, Solidworks, fusion360, CNC, BSME, product design

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of design experience with Sheet Metal

• Review drawings and understand basic scope prior to starting any detailing

• Request all required contract documents (CAD files, contract with detailed scope of work, schedule etc.) from Project Manager

• Prepare first draft of shop drawings based on the details provided in the contract drawings, and present to the Project Team for comments

• Confirm budgeted hours, and track to meet or beat the budgeted hours.

• Experience with CNC Machining is preferred

• BSME (preferred), but open to non degreed engineers in lieu of experience
