Job Description

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer OR tenured designer/drafter to support our growing portfolio of distribution work. Our Distribution group is directly supporting Tier 1 Utilities and is approaching new project phases that require production support. This role involves conducting design, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct design, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced work environment.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, adapting communication style to different audiences.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in design within electrical-design oriented software such as AutoCAD supporting utility projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design, utility design, AutoCAD, CAD, or GIS.
• 1-2 years of experience in the engineering field, transmission, distribution, or substation.
• Experience in CAD or GIS preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Active role in a professional engineering organization is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role: 3 days in office, 2 days remote in Providence, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
