Job Description

Join a dynamic team that supports advanced technologies and concepts for electric motors within the Power Electronics and Motors team in the Electrification division. This role focuses on design concepting in CREO, including wire winding, lamination, and steel sheet dimensioning. The team supports all product groups and has been a leader in motor design for over 15 years. You will work in a fast-paced environment and support CFD and FEA analysis, running light pro-mechanica/CREO analysis before passing it on to a more sophisticated analysis team. Your designs will involve rotating components, utilizing GD&T, and you'll be involved in research, design, development, manufacturing, and testing of tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.

Responsibilities

• Design concepting in CREO, including wire winding, lamination, and steel sheet dimensioning
• Support advanced technologies and concepts for electric motors
• Conduct CFD and FEA analysis and run light pro-mechanica/CREO analysis
• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices
• Implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions
• Provide technical information

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in CAD modeling
• Experience with rotating components
• Knowledge of transmission, engine, motor, gearbox, crankshaft, compressor, turbine, powertrain, and drivetrain

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CFD/FEA
• Tooling design
• Hydraulic circuit design
• Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Work Environment

You will work in a large cubical environment with lab testing nearby, in a building with over 2,000 employees. This position offers a hybrid work setup, requiring 3 days in the office. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.00/hr.
