We're looking for a high-concept Design Director who thrives on the challenge of developing a continuous stream of fresh ideas by using a combination of smarts and guts to do things in ways that get people talking, watching and remembering some of the world's biggest and most exciting brands.
This person is responsible for communicating strategic goals into actionable design solutions, help establish the conceptual and stylistic direction for the design team and has experience in management, operations and supervisory work.
Partner with designers and creative directors to conceptualize, design and build impactful solutions.
Approach design problems conceptually, with a desire to be innovative and original.
Provides leadership/motivation and conveys the vision and values of the agency to staff.
Insures the timely development and execution of plan, campaigns and projects to assure earnings, growth and profit goals are achieved.
Partner with producers to provide detailed information and time and cost estimates to assure accurate data on which to plan and develop functional objectives and budgets.
Facilitates and promotes corporate initiatives and values throughout the function.
Collaborate with different disciplines across the company.
Partner with the new business and account teams to give strategic counsel on design direction and final delivery of presentation and pitch collateral.
Lead and/or participate in internal and client work-sessions.
Lead and/or participate in creative ideation sessions.
Work closely with our resource manager to schedule projects and coordinate production.
Drive design innovation by recommending new technologies, techniques and creative approaches.
Maintain cultural awareness of the design landscape with respect to current and future trends.
An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions.
10 years design experience in a design firm or agency setting is required.
2 years of supervisory experience required.
Experience designing for the web, which includes some HTML and UX knowledge.
A passion for clean, functional and outstanding design.
An understanding of print production, setting-up files for print and ink on paper.
A strong understanding of grid systems, composition, and color; with a keen eye for typography, and meticulous attention to detail.
Vast experience working on identity systems and establishing brand guidelines.
Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
Highly competent with Adobe Creative Cloud
A design knowledge of PPT, Keynote, CMS and/or 3D design software is a plus.
BFA in Graphic Design.
