Have you considered what it may be like to work at Pratt & Whitney? We have a rare opportunity for a hardworking Design Deputy to be based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The Design Deputy leads the durability and design integrity of the F119 High Pressure Compressor (HPC) module. You will oversee a small group of Design engineers, handling task assignments, employee performance and results for the group. You will support the F119 HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) in task planning, coordinating resources and requirements, and communication with the program office and chief engineer customers.
As Design Deputy, you:
Provide cradle-to-grave analytical and design support: from detailed-design through development, validation, manufacturing and operational service.
Coach, train and develop the technical proficiency of design engineers.
Review and approve design documentation and analyses.
Provide design support for validation testing, production and engineering investigations.
Ensure support for multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.
Ensure appropriate Outsourcing work is completed, reviewed and approved, consistent with discipline strength and development.
Collaborate with other groups to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods.
Ensure proper documentation and communication of results to management and external customers.
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Prior experience in field and production support and part design and development
Proven leadership and analytical skills.
The ability to craft clear communication and develop meaningful relationships
Possess Excellent Judgement and professional maturity
