D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Design Center Assistant for their Sales and Marketing Department. The right candidate will be responsible for performing all basic Design Center clerical duties and assure efficient and professional flow of information to and from Design Center, Buyers, Subcontractors and the Main Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform all normal receptionist duties for Design Center

  • Greet and announce office visitors

  • Receive, open, date stamp and distribute all mail. Post all outgoing mail. Replenish postage meter when funds are low

  • Schedule and maintain Design Center appointments. Confirm design selection appointments prior to the date that they are to occur via phone contact

  • Maintain information books and upgrade as necessary

  • Order and maintain supply of office materials

  • Maintain correct and timely filing of all Design Center files, forms and information

  • Assist homebuyers with any and all inquiries and direct inquiries to proper parties

  • Provide administrative support to Design Center team and various departments as needed.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Assistant Branch Manager will manage the operational functions including loss control, compliance, and customer retention and audit standards: supervise, coach and develop Tellers and Lead Tellers regarding policies, procedures, products, systems and banking transactions: a strong knowledge of branch operations, paying and receiving transactions, regulatory compliance, and bank policy & procedure; implements projects set forth by management. Act as Branch Manager in their absence, responsible for ensuring smooth operations of entire branch. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform related operational, sales and administrative functions as directed by the Branch Manager. * Direct all operational aspects of the branch to include distribution operations, customer service, human resources, administration and sales in a manner that supports reaching the profitability goals. * Ensure that all areas of work performance or departments are properly staffed and directed. * Provide training, coaching, and development to the Teller team. * Manage the branch honestly, follow high ethical standards, and comply with all government regulations. * Ensure the safekeeping of company assets, including structures, equipment, inventory and cash * Maintain and enforce personnel policy. * Select, promote and discharge employees within the branch in accordance with basic personnel policy. * Responsible for achievement of Teller line referral goals. * Work a Teller Window. * The ability to work all branch hours, including Saturdays. * Audits all teller drawers at prescribed intervals, maintains records of all audits. Complete reports on Teller balances, currency transactions, and other reports as necessary. * Maintains a complete inventory of all teller keys and drawers. Assist tellers with assigned Delegation. * Process all financial transactions in adherence to BSA/AML statutory and regulatory requirements in accordance to the procedures and policies established. * All other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead and manage team through training, developing, and coaching Team Members on a consistent basis. * Encourage others to set to set challenging goals and high standards of performance. * Inspire others to define new opportunities and continuously improve the organization. * Celebrate and reward significant achievements of others. * Present logical and persuasive case for proposals and positions. * Assist team in addressing their individual strengths and development needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS): * Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two year college, technical school or three years of Teller Management experience in operations and some sales experience. Must also have experience in personnel management/coaching. A high level of written and verbal communication skills. Work processing, spreadsheets and a strong working knowledge of all software systems used in a bank. Assist other banks in close proximity when staffing levels necessitate. Travel to meetings, training and seminars as scheduled. Must be available to the bank during all working hours including Saturday's. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, to practical situations. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
