JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be provided with personal mentoring and guidance from world class turbomachinery engineers while transitioning your educational background to real world application.

Designs and analyzes aircraft mechanical, propulsion, component structures, systems, and processes. Carry out design and performance for new and redesign turbine hardware, non-turbine engine structures, field failures and production support. Ability to make technical presentations internally and to customers. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to work with customers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status.

Design

The associate design engineer responsibilities will include all aspects of the design process including: clean sheet conceptual design, preliminary structural and heat transfer analyses, working closely with the analytical community to solve complex technical objectives, product definition through CAD modeling, GD&T, and drafting, working with in-house machinists, manufacturing operation engineers and suppliers to acquire components efficiently and cost effectively, supporting hands-on in house assembly and instrumentation, and provide test support. Professional or internship experience is preferred but not required.

Education and Experience:

BS, MS or PHD in applicable Engineering field with 0-2 years of applicable work experience.

Physical Demands:

Some light physical effort required.

Will be required to perform occasional lifting of light materials.

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend and move about the facility. Office and/or manufacturing environment

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment)
