As a Design Architect, you will have the chance to work with our internal network of engineers and architects designing facilities for the Federal Government and related institutions. Working with other members of the team, you will develop design packages using Revit and other software. During your time with us, you will generate design analyses, construction drawings, and specifications. Additionally, you will perform field work, both prior to design and as a follow up during construction period activities, and you'll be involved in client charrettes. U.S. Citizen with current Driver's License (US State) required
BS or MS in Architecture required
Licensed as Registered Architect required
4 years of experience producing construction document packages including drawings and specifications
Competency in production of architectural design packages using Revit
Working knowledge of architectural codes and standards, including ICC and NFPA
Ability to travel internationally on at least a limited basis (no more than 1 week per quarter)
Active or recent Department of Defense Security Clearance
Experience in and knowledge of design of heavy industrial facilities including ship building applications
LEED AP credentials
Programming and planning experience
Experience in construction period services, including answering RFIs, review of submittals, and field assessments
Familiarity with other related software beyond Revit, including Sketchup, AutoCAD, or Microstation
Experience performing federal design to Unified Facilities Criteria requirements
Ability to generate renderings using Revit
Experience estimating architectural effort for building design projects
