Responsibilities

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized architectural and engineering firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, a full-time position is available for a project architect. Responsibilities include: coordinating with multi-disciplinary in-house team members and sub-consultant; mentoring less experienced staff; working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

  • Professional degree in architecture from an accredited college or university

  • At least seven years of relevant architecture experience

  • Architect license (with the ability to obtain in additional states)

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Experience in Aviation and/or Commercial/Institutional/Government work

  • Leading project designs and delivering in-person project design presentations

  • Assisting with architectural service proposals

  • LEED AP certification

  • Assisted with project management

VIEW JOBS 11/4/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-02T00:00 <p>Project Manager, Design - Architect</p><p>Summary:</p><p>This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the design for new and renovated space on all campuses; may lead moderately complex and/or small-scale design projects. Interacts with outside design consultants, equipment planners, other vendors and other parties as needed and hospital personnel to assure a functional, aesthetically pleasing and cost effective design. Position requires experience with AutoCad.</p><p>This is a remote position with expectation to work from various Children's Health facilities in the Dallas Metroplex as often as needed.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Manage the activities of project consultants including, but not limited to architects, equipment planners and engineers for moderately complex design projects.</p></li><li><p>Daily communication with department directors and other employees to discuss requirements, plans for design and commissioning; development and presentation of written and verbal communication material appropriate to audience.</p></li><li><p>Administer project management information and document control system; administer contracts with design consultants; develop further detail for scope, budget, and design development schedule.</p></li><li><p>Assist in developing project budget, schedule and scope for approved projects in coordination with user departments; direct scope/fee revisions as they develop.</p></li><li><p>Development of planning and schematic plans, schedules and estimates for projects.</p></li><li><p>Review and research facility related technical and regulatory issues.</p></li><li><p>Other duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p>WORK EXPERIENCE</p><ul><li><p>At least 5 years related experience Required</p></li><li><p>Healthcare related Architecture Required</p></li></ul><p>EDUCATION</p><ul><li><p>Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or Masters Architecture, (Professionally Accredited Degrees) Required</p></li><li><p>Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred</p></li></ul><p>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Registered Architect Preferred</li></ul><p>About us</p><p>Children's Health values the role each member of our team plays in helping us make life better for children.
