CUSD is looking to hire a Deputy Superintendent

• Educational Services in the areas of Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment and Student Supports that: Provides leadership, direction, and coordination for the academic programming of the district. To include, curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development, and use of data. Provides leadership, direction, and coordination for the evaluation, development, and operation of all District student support services through the supervision of staff, providing instructional leadership, and monitoring compliance with District and SELPA mandates and state and federal law. Responsible for all special education and student support programs including, but not limited to, Special Education, Academic and Social Emotional Supports, Section 504 and Student Study Teams, Wellness including psychologists and nursing and other student support initiatives as assigned by the Superintendent. Final salary placement will be based upon verified experience in a similar role, up to 10 years of prior experience will be considered. The selected candidate will be eligible for the same benefits as other district management employees.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 1. Possession of current, valid appropriate California Administrative Services and Teaching Credentials 2. Master's degree from an accredited university required 3. Teaching experience required 4. At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in educational leadership. 5. District level experience associated with the development of curriculum and assessment as well as coaching of instruction 6. District level experience associated with special populations
