DEPUTY SHERIFF
The McHenry County Sheriff's Department Merit Commission is seeking applicants to create an eligibility list for the position of full-time Merited Sheriff's Deputy. A Sheriff's Deputy performs a variety of complex law enforcement duties and enforces Federal and State laws and County ordinances for the protection of life, health, safety, welfare and property.
The Merit Commission will hold an orientation session:
9:00 AM
May 11, 2024
Woodstock North High School
3000 Raffel Road
Woodstock, IL
Doors will open at 8:00 AM.
A written exam will be conducted immediately following the orientation.
A physical ability test will be conducted following the written exam.
P.O.W.E.R. test cards will not be accepted.
Eligibility requirements are as follows:
Twenty-one (21) years of age (no maximum)
A high school graduate or GED
A United States Citizen
Possess a valid drivers license
Residency required for a take-home squad car
