Deputy Project Manager

Preferred Salary: $90K-110K

Mostly Remote, light travel as needed.

HIGHLY desired factors are TSA or DHS experience. Definitely, fed acquisition PMO mgmt experience.

We're looking for a Senior Consultant candidate that has experience in strategic communications, project management, and government budget/financial (PPBE), along with a high proficiency in Microsoft Suite 360 products (more specifically PowerPoint and Word), direct client engagement experience, and is preferably already TSA cleared.

Introduction / background:

The Requirements and Capabilities Analysis (RCA) mission is to deliver innovative, mission-driven capabilities required by the TSA frontline workforce to safeguard America's transportation system. RCA drives the strategy and development of TSA's security architecture and operational capabilities to enhance security and optimize mission performance through analysis and innovation. The RCA directly supports TSA's mission by assessing current operations, conducting gap analyses, managing needs identification, and developing strategic initiative designs to generate new and improved security capabilities in alignment with the future vision of aviation security.

SCOPE OF WORK: The Subcontractor shall provide the following services:

DKC Group will provide cost estimating support and briefing materials using scheduling, risk, roadmaps, and other source information to inform the Planning, Programming Budgeting, and Execution process. Develop and maintain FIS Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that documents and tracks the progress of activities related to FIS Capability Management (CM) initiatives and contract support.

The IMS shall consist of a comprehensive work breakdown structure to include, as necessary, the activities, owners, completion percentages, durations and dependencies related to FIS activities. Evaluate current project management reporting procedures and develop streamlined processes for efficient status updates on projects from associated POCs. Support strategic assessments of the FIS CM current state and processes and reporting of recommendations based on those assessments.

Facilitate the Risk Management Process for the FIS CM area. Propose recommendations to FIS leadership and work with POCs to implement IMS status updates and reporting process improvements. Verify that IMS is being updated as necessary by all FIS POCs and report, as necessary, on ongoing projects' status, including recent accomplishments, upcoming milestones, potential risks, ongoing issues, dependencies, and constraints.

Responsible for ensuring the on-time completion of task deliverables and activities. This position is considered a mid-level leadership role that will contribute to the overall BPA/Order Program Management through supervision of more senior staff in the execution of BPA Order objectives and tasking. Facilitating regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings and working groups will be necessary.

May lead daily operational activities such as facilitation, problem solving, developing project and operational plans, communications, and recommending/developing processes and procedures. Will work directly with TSA personnel and other Government counterparts on mission needs.

Place of Performance: Remote with situational and episodic requirements to report to TSA HQ IN Springfield VA for meetings with the government stakeholders
