UTC Aerospace Systems is a global leader in the design and manufacture of ISR products for civil, commercial and military applications, with a broad portfolio of ground-based, airborne and space-based systems. Reporting to the Program Management of a Space Systems Program, the Deputy Program Manager has shared responsible for execution of program performance goals including financial return, hardware delivery, and product quality on assigned Program(s) with the PM. This role serves as a leader in the coordination of organizational resources and a key point of contact with assigned Customer

Provide shared leadership and direction to achieve program financial performance metrics, including program sales, profit/loss, inventory levels, etc.

  • Lead bid and proposal development and supporting negotiation of contract amendments .

  • Develop and manage program plans, schedules and budgets; track and report performance to these plans and budgets; manage and monitor progress; manage all claims cost tracking, cost reduction actions, etc .

  • Prepare and present comprehensive program reviews and status reports to Internal and Customer management.

  • Manage risk assessment, including identifying problems and concerns within the organization that impact, or have the potential to impact program performance and serve as a change agent.

  • Embrace and utilize ACE operating principles for process improvements and issue resolution. Lead the program team with guidance from the 4 Gears philosophies of People, Ideas, Performance and Integrity.

  • Become an acknowledged expert in the Customer's business as well as product and process understanding so as to provide input into strategic decisions and identify opportunities for business growth.

  • Ensure compliance to all UTAS/UTC and customer contractual requirements.

As member of the program Change Board, provide coordination and follow-up required to ensure timely and cost effective implementation of all change activity.
