This position is for a recognized master in Program Management, who leads medium to large-sized programs and drives strategic planning efforts. Leads contract negotiations, spearheads solutions for program problems, and manages multiple vendors and the P&L of programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads medium to large-sized programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility.

  • Establishes milestones, develops and owns program plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitors allocation of resources.

  • Reviews and presents plans and progress reports, monitors the presentation of value-stream strategy, progress, and results.

  • Drives strategic planning efforts for medium and/or complex programs.

  • Leads continuous improvement including initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.

  • Identifies and reacts to program problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications, and assists in resolution development for escalated problems.

  • Develops new business growth strategies.

  • Drives/leads responses to customer action items.

  • Leads the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests.

  • Directs all program phases from inception through completion.

  • Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.

  • Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

  • Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.

  • Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.

Education:

  • Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Program planning and management (cost, quality and schedule) experience.

  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement and their use (Six Sigma).

  • Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.

  • Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to direct and motivate.

  • Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP program desirable.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professionally diffuse difficult situations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

This position is for a Specialist, Program Management - Program Management Office (PMO) and acts as liaison between the Directors' Office, the various Power & Controls function heads (e.g. engineering, operations, finance, etc.), and the Power & Controls Vice President's office to obtain required data, coordinate various activities and programs, ensure the timely completion of various assignments. Primary Responsibilities: * Coordinate and lead process improvement activities related to various PMO roles and responsibilities with a focus on annual planning and performance management. Develop performance management topics, tiers, and cadence as necessary to optimize PMO operational efficiency. * Coordinate the efforts of the PMO staff to ensure process/schedule adherence (e.g. Passports) and to obtain information and recommendations regarding subjects to be reviewed in business meetings, both within and outside the company. * Compile and analyze data, provide information, prepare reports and develop formalized presentations to assist the Power & Controls PMO Directors in preparation for meetings, tours, and other engagements. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Preferred education Master's degree from an accredited university.
