Position Overview

Infinity Systems Engineering is seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Program Manager (DPM). As a key member of the program management team, you will be critical in assisting with subcontract execution, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, overseeing assigned personnel, and advancing Infinity's strategic objectives.

This position is suited for mid -career candidates. The level placement of the selected candidate for management duties will be assigned as a Manager (M4) or Lead Manager (M5) based on the specific qualifications and relevant experience outlined below. The level placement for technical responsibilities will be assigned Lead Engineer (IC5) or Principal Engineer (IC6) based on qualifications and relevant experience. A qualified candidate must meet some or all of the minimum and preferred qualifications and possess 4 - 16+ years of direct and relevant experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee contract requirements and be a point of contact within the management team responsible for updating customers regarding contract progress.

  • Assist the Program Manager with hiring and maintaining a skilled workforce that has the ability to meet the requirements of assigned work activities.

  • Lead assigned GPS IIIF team members by setting expectations, monitoring progress, providing coaching and development opportunities, addressing performance concerns, and recognizing personal and team achievements.

  • Forge positive relationships with customers and stakeholders; meet regularly with customers/stakeholders to formulate and review task plans and deliverables.

  • Manage quality control of contract deliverables, as required per contract.

  • Provide in-depth systems engineering support to the GPS IIIF program, including Systems Engineering, System of Systems Engineering, and/or Space Vehicle Engineering, as assigned.

  • Define and allocate space segment requirements from US Government requirements to space vehicle, element, subsystem, assembly-level, and test requirements.

  • Support/execute design reviews for per program requirements for the space vehicle, element, subsystem, and/or assembly-level.

  • Support design, development, and qualification of equipment, parts, materials, antennas, transmitters, cables, and other hardware required to integrate and operate flight and non-flight hardware in accordance with (IAW) US Government requirements.

  • Support of daily status meetings, readiness reviews, and planning meetings; support material review boards and failure review boards, as necessary for defects/issues.

  • Perform general engineering duties, including support to space vehicle and payload tasks in lieu of other prime and subcontract members, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple projects/engineering efforts, timelines, and products/deliverables.

  • Experience communicating and collaborating with customer management-level personnel.

  • Ability to manage tasks effectively and motivate personnel to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate positively in a team environment with people of different levels of experience and education and virtually in geographically dispersed locations.

  • Must be fluent in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • In-depth understanding of Global Positioning System (GPS) and/or other Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) constellations and services.

  • Experience with requirements management systems such as DOORS.

  • Experience with common scripting languages (Javascript, Python, MATLAB, etc.).

  • Experience with writing technical papers, white papers, and/or proposals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing/leading engineering and technical personnel.

  • Experience with program planning, cost controls, and budgeting as well as knowledge of government contracts and compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute plans aligned with organizational goals.

  • Known ability to motivate teams, inspire trust, and facilitate collaboration for assigned personnel.

  • Experience with organizational/personnel conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensures smooth project execution.

  • Experience with program cost controls/Earned Value Management (EVM) and the ability to integrate cost, schedule, and scope to drive exceptional program performance.

  • Experience supporting business development initiatives, including developing technical and cost elements for submission to customers.

  • Experience with SysML, MBSE methods and tools such as Cameo.

  • Experience executable MBSE models that integrate with analytical tools.

  • Experience performing analyses with Modeling and Simulation tools such as STK.

  • SCRUM Master training and/or direct experience working Agile programs.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field or in lieu of degree, 4-16 years of experience supporting DoD Aerospace and/or Information Technology programs (required)
