Deputy Program Manager
Serve as a project manager on one or more mid- to large-scale projects supporting various government agencies. Provide Cyber solution development, tool and ODC procurements, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Assessment and Authorization (A&A), integration, deployment, testing, O&M, training, and governance. Oversee and lead all aspects of project response development and execution planning, developing, organizing, and monitoring project schedules using Microsoft Project, staffing, cost, and scope performance in accordance with the requirements, as needed. Lead day-to-day task management of the project within a cross-functional team, maintain responsibility for the quality control and configuration management of all work performed, ensure all deliverables meet requirements of the contract and are delivered on time, elevate risks early, and communicate status of the project to stakeholders. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, manage and report the status of all project management and technical activities, and work with personnel ranging from senior leadership to highly specialized engineers. Participate and lead client engagements, including strategic analysis, planning, execution of solutions, and interface directly with the client in the execution of duties, as necessary.
10+ years of experience with supporting Cyber, IT, software, or procurement programs
8+ years of experience with leading government projects
Experience with T&M, Cost Plus Award Fee, and FFP contracts
Experience with actively managing spend plans and strategically assessing program or contract profitability
Ability to comfortably lead data gathering sessions and conduct retrospectives with stakeholders, provide briefings to clients, and produce high quality deliverables
Ability to step in as the deputy program manager and provide competent leadership to a large Cyber delivery team, as needed
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Experience with assessing LCAT assignments and qualifications
Experience with government agencies, including DOE, OPM, USDA, DOT, DOI, EOP, and VA
Experience with managing large federal or defense contracts
Knowledge of internal PBS financial and accounting systems
Ability to be a self-starter to identify program needs and address or manage without guidance or supervision
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills with internal or external teams, senior leadership, subcontractors, and senior level government clients
BS degree in a technical field preferred; MBA degree a plus
Microsoft Project Training or Certification
