This role reports to Pratt & Whitney's Compression Systems Engineering (CSE), designers and analysts of advanced Fans, Low and High Pressure Compressors. You will work on the Military Composites Fans, which will in turn support all of our military engine programs, including the F119, F135 and advanced engines programs.
Your responsibilities as a Deputy Manager will include:
Programming and individual project leadership
Providing technical direction on new design or structures activity
Supporting program/project level design reviews for all projects
Reviewing designs or analyses to ensure product integrity, and represent the Commercial Composites organization during formal reviews
Mentoring recent additions to the engineering, technician and contractor staff
Identifying improvements to and author new Engineering Standard Work (ESW)
Using ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) tools to find opportunities for improvement for Commercial Composite activities
10% travel is anticipated
