Deputy General Manager - East Bay Regional Park District, California

The East Bay Regional Park District General Manager seeks a confident executive-level professional with strong leadership skills to join the District as her next Deputy General Manager. The successful candidate understands the importance of developing and sustaining credibility and trust, values kindness and respect, and takes the time to explain the "why", while modeling integrity and professionalism.

The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) contains 73 parks, 55 miles of San Francisco and Delta shorelines, 1,330 miles of park trails, and a regional green trail transportation network of 250 miles of paved trails all within its 125,496 acres, making it the largest regional Park District in the United States. The Park District receives more than 25 million visits annually throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The EBRPD has a diverse portfolio of parks, from shorelines, lakes, mountains, forests, wilderness areas, swim facilities, golf courses, and cultural sites. The General Manager seeks a strategic thinker and partner with a proven track record of affecting culture change and encourage, coach, and mentor staff to consider innovative approaches in day-to-day operations, and one who is knowledgeable of innovative approaches to talent management, succession planning, and recruitment strategies to attract and retain a high-performing workforce. Candidates who place importance on values-based leadership, are committed to continuous learning and bring a strong coaching mindset putting employees first, are ideal for this role.

The salary range for this outstanding opportunity is $255,569.52 - $326,331.12, plus an anticipated 2% wage increase on November 2024. Placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
