OVERVIEW

One of the world's most influential mission-driven media organizations, Consumer Reports produces award-winning digital, print, and video content that promotes a fairer, more transparent marketplace.

CR's investigative journalism team has alerted consumers about the dangers posed by water beads to children and video doorbells that don't offer the security they promise; our writers have shared how neighborhoods with a disproportionately high number of people of color and low-income residents are adversely affected when Amazon warehouses come to town, and helped readers choose the best banking app to suit their needs and protect their privacy.

As more and more of our lives-shopping for products, doing our banking, seeking home and car loans-is increasingly spent online, we are looking for an experienced investigative journalist capable of uncovering the threats and challenges consumers face in this new digital landscape. As part of CR's Special Projects team, and working closely with our Digital Marketplace experts, you will conceive, create, and produce deeply reported investigative and enterprise stories that lead to real marketplace change.

Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position. The successful candidate must reside within 75 miles of our Yonkers, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. locations. This position is not eligible for Sponsorship (TN, L1, etc.)

This is a grant-funded position expected to last two years with the possibility of extension.
