Position Summary
Direct, manage, oversee and supervise multiple highly specialized activities and operations of the Solid Waste Department, which may including policy, personnel, program, budget and administration; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies and other stakeholders and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Solid Waste Management.
This is an unclassified at-will position.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management or Environmental Science; and
Seven (7) years' experience in residential and commercial refuse collection, clean city operation, landfill and transfer operation, vehicle maintenance operation; public sector operations management, capital project management, or contract compliance; and
To includesix (6) years of supervisory experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
