Job Description
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Deputy Chief Investigator. This position manages the misdemeanor criminal and felony investigator divisions by assigning work, maintaining records of work schedules, providing assistance to criminal investigators, training personnel, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Related duties include preparing cases for trial, subpoenaing witnesses, performing employment background investigations, coordinating training, installing and repairing investigative equipment, and performing law enforcement duties as needed in court. Performs related duties as required. Work is performed under the direction of the Chief Criminal Investigator.
Candidates must have specific knowledge, normally acquired through at least six months of advanced training past the high school equivalency. At least two years of related experience and a Texas Peace Officer's License are required. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
