Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships None specified Job Description This position is responsible for managing the support, maintenance, and installation of all clinical information systems. This includes coordinating changes and additions to all clinical systems to ensure a cohesive, integrated clinical application. Cerner is the primary software vendor, but responsibility does include other software vendors. This individual should be able to maintain good relationships with medical staff, nursing staff and support staff in order to elicit information necessary to keep systems performing at a high level. Required Licensures / Certificiations / Registrations Individuals should have a good working knowledge of workflow and processes of various hospital departments. Specific licensures and certifications are not required. Physical Capabilities Work is of medium demand, walking, sitting, and standing most of the time while on-duty. Occasional lifting of equipment is required. Adequate hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills required for typing. Talking and hearing is essential in dealing with co-workers and customers. Skills and Abilities Possesses supervisory and project management skills. Communicates effectively via both written and oral methods.Ability to interpret and complete technical assignments independently.Must possess detailed knowledge of supported applications. Must be able to understand and redefine processes in order to effectively implement technology solutions in clinical settings.
