How will you make an impact?

The Depot Repair Engineer II serves as a member of the Depot Repair team whose responsibilities include all aspects of service support for our customers including repairs and calibrations for all of Water Analysis Instruments products.

You will gain in-depth knowledge and expertise in water quality measurement and support critical markets such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, power generation and water treatment. Join our team and help our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

What will you do?

  • Clean, inspect, and document pre-repair condition of systems and instrumentation.

  • Perform troubleshooting including component and system failure analysis using standard diagnostic techniques.

  • Perform full checkout, testing, and calibration of repaired instrumentation, providing appropriate test data/documentation.

  • Generate, maintain, and provide record keeping functions for Return Authorizations, Service Quotes, and Service Orders using SAP and Salesforce

  • Provide technical assistance to our customers who are measuring water quality to the highest standards

  • Learn about water quality and products used to measure aspects of water quality

  • Provide technical assistance in connection with the development and production of Water Analysis products and information (product manuals, guides, training material, etc.)

  • Interface with Thermo Fisher colleagues sharing your expertise as required, maintaining product quality and promoting customer satisfaction

  • Learn and use process improvement methods and approaches to improve customer experience

How will you get here?

  • Minimum Associate Degree in Electronics, preferred BS in EE or related field

  • One to Three years of technical experience required with Associate Degree

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must be able to interpret and follow work instructions, test procedures, wiring diagrams, schematics, and repairs through to completion as required

  • In situations where only limited standardization exists, ability to solve problems with timely resolution is essential

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, process, and analytical instrumentation, pneumatics, and mechanics is desired

  • Experience with Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and database applications (CRM and ERP tools) are required

  • Strong professional communication, follow up, and problem-solving skills are necessary.

  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment

As the Repair & Maintenance Manager for Patriot Care Operations including our large cultivation facility in Lowell, MA and our four dispensaries throughout the state you will be responsible for designing and implementing the framework, and ongoing day to day management of a comprehensive repairs and maintenance program, and provide ongoing operational support * Develop and manage national R&M budgets and cash flows and also manage annual Capex expenditures and projects. * Implementation and roll out of Maintenance Connection software platform and support of national and local day-to-day R&M operations through support and mentor ship of local maintenance technicians. * Provide ongoing direction and support for the Cultivation and Facility managers pertaining to facility Repairs and Maintenance plan to ensure standards and procedures are met and followed and safe and reliable operation of infrastructure and supporting systems * Provide technical and day to day support as required to the local maintenance technicians as required. Day to Day Activities: Business Management: * Set targets and objectives for the R&M program and H&S compliance at facility and state level. * Develop annual budgets and cash flow for the national repairs and maintenance operations. * Assist facility and dispensary managers in development and management of P&L budgets related to repairs and maintenance. * Coordinate and manage repairs and maintenance capex projects, budgets and forecasts. * Generate new ideas for service and cost reduction to maintain a competitive and leading edge. * Liaise with contractors and service agents regularly to ensure work is carried out as agreed and according to requirements. * Ensure that within your department Columbia Care complies with all statutory and legal requirements, including fire, health and safety, licensing and end employment. * Meet deadlines for monthly reports and forecasts and ensure they are completed accurately. * Maintain company integrity and confidentiality. * Ensure that all purchasing is undertaken within company policy and that costs are controlled to maintain profits whilst maintaining standards * Report any issues that impact on the image, security or safety of the company or team immediately to the Director of Infrastructure Maintenance and Repairs: * Using 'Maintenance Connection' as the company wide asset tracking and Repairs and Maintenance software platform: * Setup the framework and asset reconciliation for each facility * Setup scheduled maintenance tasks and reminders * Assign recurring maintenance responsibilities to relevant employees, 3rd party service technicians and companies. * Train all facility staff on its day to day use and ensure all employees know how to log repair requests * Generate monthly and bi-annual asset reports as requested by the Director of Infrastructure * Use Maintenance Connection to log and issue reports for warranty periods, insurances, operating hours etc. * Observing budgets, negotiate and implement external 3rd party service contracts for servicing of heavy infrastructure, lab, technical and scientific equipment, and other equipment that is not suitable to be serviced by in house service technicians * Ensure all repairs are carried out in a timely fashion and report any severe issues or delays that will or may affect crop production or facility shut down immediately to the Director of Infrastructure Asset & Infrastructure Management: * Maintain and keep update a national asset register of key infrastructure such as Mechanical HVAC Equipment, Horticulture Lighting, Lab and Extraction Equipment, Cultivation Equipment, General and Specialist tools etc. * Perform ROI analysis for new energy efficient capex equipment to reduce operating overheads and labour costs. * Track warranty and replacement periods of new and ageing infrastructure. * Develop and perform site evaluations and submit proposals with recommendations for improvements appropriate and in the best interest of the company. * Work with National Construction Manager to develop project execution plans major Capex and infrastructure upgrade works. General: * Ensure all regulatory and legal requirements are met * Observe and cooperate with all Health and safety policies * Promote a friendly and team orientated work space * Establish operational policies and procedures * Schedule to attend meetings as required and support the communication process. * To carry out any other reasonable requests required by the Director of Infrastructure Requirements * A minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience in facilities maintenance management.
