Job Title: Depot Repair Engineer II

How will you make an impact?
The Depot Repair Engineer II serves as a member of the Depot Repair team whose responsibilities include all aspects of service support for our customers including repairs and calibrations for all of Water Analysis Instruments products.
You will gain in-depth knowledge and expertise in water quality measurement and support critical markets such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, power generation and water treatment. Join our team and help our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
What will you do?
Clean, inspect, and document pre-repair condition of systems and instrumentation.
Perform troubleshooting including component and system failure analysis using standard diagnostic techniques.
Perform full checkout, testing, and calibration of repaired instrumentation, providing appropriate test data/documentation.
Generate, maintain, and provide record keeping functions for Return Authorizations, Service Quotes, and Service Orders using SAP and Salesforce
Provide technical assistance to our customers who are measuring water quality to the highest standards
Learn about water quality and products used to measure aspects of water quality
Provide technical assistance in connection with the development and production of Water Analysis products and information (product manuals, guides, training material, etc.)
Interface with Thermo Fisher colleagues sharing your expertise as required, maintaining product quality and promoting customer satisfaction
Learn and use process improvement methods and approaches to improve customer experience
How will you get here?
Minimum Associate Degree in Electronics, preferred BS in EE or related field
One to Three years of technical experience required with Associate Degree
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Must be able to interpret and follow work instructions, test procedures, wiring diagrams, schematics, and repairs through to completion as required
In situations where only limited standardization exists, ability to solve problems with timely resolution is essential
Working knowledge of manufacturing, process, and analytical instrumentation, pneumatics, and mechanics is desired
Experience with Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and database applications (CRM and ERP tools) are required
Strong professional communication, follow up, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
