We are seeking a Deposit Services Specialist. Position will primarily be responsible for processing posting rejects and check return items, balancing and processing NSF items, adjustment item processing, boarding new check positive pay items and resolving discrepancies, and fulfilling subpoenas and customer research requests. While utilizing the Fiserv Signature core banking platform as well as multiple image systems and the Client Service System to fulfil frontline and external client requests.

Key Accountabilities

Execution of Daily Functions:

  • Follow established processes and procedures to complete internal and external requests in an accurate and timely manner

  • Effectively communicate and consult with banking center personnel and other internal departments, as necessary

Continuous Improvement:

  • Provide feedback to Senior Specialist to aid in development and improvement of current processes and procedures

  • Seek opportunities to cross train within the department to broaden knowledge and ensure continuity of service

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Experience in Bank Operations preferred

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently

Residing on 88 acres on the east side of Evansville, Ind., our facility provides medical treatment for chronic mental illness and substance abuse disorders from our dedicated team of psychiatrists and advanced practice professionals. Our team of professionals assists our patients in the treatment process involving medical staff, nursing, psychology, social work, rehabilitation therapy, and our community integration program. Evansville State Hospital continues to maintain accreditation through The Joint Commission as an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital as well as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services certification as a Psychiatric Medicare/Medicaid Hospital. About the Job: You will provide direct care services to the patients through individual, family, group and unit interactions. Responsible for coordination of services and comprehensive communication with families/caregivers, referral sources, outside agencies, courts and others involved in the referral, treatment and discharge process. Participates in treatment program implementation and coordination of patients' case management needs. Participates in the training of new employees when necessary. A Day in the Life: * Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of treatment teams, implementation of group therapy interventions providing patient psycho-education, requesting and compiling various assessments/surveys/data for the hospital when required, identifying and addressing patient/unit needs, coordination of campus-wide group participation. * You will work independently and in a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide therapeutic interventions and case management for patients. * Completes Social Services Assessment at admission by obtaining information from the patient, reviewing past medical records, contact with family members, by staff report and self observations. * Responsible for informing the patient of their Patient Rights and obtaining authorizations to release information. * Potential to serves as a Case Coordinator which would then be responsible for: developing individualized treatment plans and interventions that are age-appropriate, developmentally and/or disability appropriate, and based on multidisciplinary assessments and team input; completing the Collaborative Education assessment at admission and annually. * Maintains a therapeutic alliance with the patient and family/caregivers and provides individual and family support as needed. * Works as liaison with patient, family/guardian, treatment team, and/or community mental health center liaisons in sustaining regular contact * Corresponds with guardian/HCR regarding abuse allegations, per hospital and unit policy. * Provides direct social services to the patient including securing benefits such as Social Security Disability Benefits * Develops and facilitates multiple (daily and weekly) psycho-educational groups on the unit and campus-wide and may include evening, weekend and holidays as required. * Other related duties as assigned by clinical supervisor. What You'll Need for Success: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling and Guidance, Criminology, Social Work or a related area. * Strong preference for licensed degrees (LBSW). * Skills in assessing Stages of Change in patients based on age & developmental stage/disability, and areas of strengths and weaknesses. * Competency identifying the impact on current and/or future placement/treatment and barriers to community placement. * Ability to utilize communication skills and problem-solving techniques to interface with involved systems (i.e. patient, family, treatment team, MSH, community providers etc.) to facilitate the provision of the most comprehensive and effective treatment within the least restrictive environment. * Knowledge and demonstration of a professional/ethical attitude in agency/community interpersonal interactions, adhering to the NASW Code of Ethics, MSH Code of Ethics and Mission Statement, HIPAA guidelines, and MSH Clinical Services Policy & Procedure Manual. * Experience in and demonstrated skills of providing dynamic and respectful research-based treatment services for those with behavioral healthcare needs, empowering individuals toward recovery and advocating for system change when needed to maintain the integrity of patient care. * Ability to coordinate job duties within a 7-day work environment, including evening and weekend work hours as assigned by direct supervisor.
