OverviewProcesses all incoming checks collected throughout the Enterprise and ensures they are deposited accurately utilizing an online banking system. Prioritizes workflow and coordinates cases outside of authority limits to business unit before final deposition.

Researches inquires and provides prompt, accurate service to internal and external customers. Supports the overall goals of the department by meeting or exceeding department time service goals, quality standards and service level agreements. Adheres to Company guidelines regarding privacy, authorization requirements and accounting controls.

Develops and/or revises procedural manuals. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to Manager when necessary and updating Manager on a regular basis. Reviews and accurately processes premium remittances in a fast paced, high volume, time sensitive environment.ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:

Manages premium processing and deposit workflow to achieve designated time-service agreement. Participates in discussion or meetings concerning workflow, in accordance with departmental and individual affiliate partnership agreements governing time service and procedural guidelines governing the handling of premium applications. Reviews complex documents to determine proper allocation (ledger accounts) and assures the accuracy of premium application.

Researches exception items, sorts and prioritizes check batches by batch types, and distributes output to appropriate individuals within the department for same day processing. May require processing of premium transactions on administrative systems (RemitPlus and NOLAS) and online banking systems. Generate daily image cash letter and transmit file to banking partners.

Ensures all incoming checks are deposited accurately by Company and bank account, utilizing bank deposit product. Confirms deposit totals, endorsements and recording of deposit totals onto the appropriate worksheets. Manages check deposits so as to maximize interest earned on cash balances.

Provides excellent customer service to internal customers and agents, including answering questions and researching problem cases. Researches and resolves issues through collaboration with programmers and technical staff. Serves as a liaison with Information Technology when system problems arise.

Prepares and distributes monthly deposit processing reports to senior management within the business unit. Prepares monthly retained asset reports, performs annual reconciliation of retained asset accounts and provides annual financial reporting to management. Processes split or manual check requisitions, verifying accuracy and releasing check disbursement file.

Maintains and accumulates Company product and procedural knowledge on current product portfolios. Updates policies and procedures, and takes responsibility to maintain procedural manuals. Prepares work order requests for repetitive EFT templates in accordance with departmental requests.

Assists with dormant account and escheatment process. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications High School Diploma Or GED (Required) Proven experience in either insurance, banking or other financial industry customer service and/or processing department. (Required) Proven experience working independently while handling high volumes, multiple duties and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis in a fast-paced environment. (Required) Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Cite examples of organizational and time management methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands.

Demonstrated mathematical proficiency and proven ability to perform advanced math functions. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully interpret and communicate business needs between internal and external groups in a clear, focused and concise manner. Experience to include strong customer service background, communication and etiquette skills.

Proven ability to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co‑workers and management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).Work Setting/Position Demands: This position works in an office setting and remains in a continuous stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.

Position requires substantial movement of wrists, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.Travel Requirements: None
