Job Responsibilities:

  • Review of Yellow Hammer alerts for fraudulent/suspicious transactions

  • Review of Guardian/Cash Edge and FIS Alerts

  • Completion of daily/weekly overdraft reports

  • Monitor reports for fraud rings and customers linked to fraudulent activity

  • Process Returned Deposit Items

  • Process Reclamations

  • Respond to Service Events in a timely manner

  • Research requests

  • Update loss prevention logs

  • Fraud detection and reporting

  • Deposit exception processing (NSF/unposted/stop payments)

  • Account maintenance

Key Skill Sets or Knowledge

Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of back office banking processes

  • Superior customer service skills; ability to establish rapport

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects

  • Fundamental knowledge of banking regulations

Desired Career Experience &

Education Requirements:
  • 3+ years' banking

  • Customer service

  • Basic teller transactions and cash handling

  • High school diploma

Preferred:

  • Some college and/or technical education
  • SQL

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to become the newest member of the Seacoast team! We are seeking a Specialty Deposit Assistant to assist assigned Business Development Officers with prospect and customer contact and documentation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assist Deposit BDOs in documentation collection during new client onboarding. * Prepare complete documentation packages to submit to the Operations department as well as manage follow-up comments/questions to the customer form the Operations department. * Assist Deposit BDOs with completing compliance paperwork including Risk Assessments for new customers and/or accounts, prior to account opening. * Assist with Remote Deposit Capture site visit calls. * Submit customer site information to Quicktrack for physical site visit requests. * Provide effective customer service by answering customer questions; investigate and refer any issues ot the appropriate Operations staff member for resolution; communicate with BDOs and necessary Operations staff to ensure such case requests are followed through on and closed in a timely manner. * View account activity, determine balances and resolve problems within given authority. * Answer telephone calls and direct to proper BDO or Operations staff member as required. * Interview customers to obtain information; establish proper identification of new customers and determine need and extent of reference investigation. * Prepare routine letters, mailing labels, reports and forms. * Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of and adherence to Bank operational policies and applicable compliance regulations as they relate to the specific job duties assigned. * Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of your duties and responsibilities as it relates to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC). This includes participating in any required training and promptly complying with all reporting requirements.
