Job Summary

The Deployment Manager participates, overseas and leads a team that is assigned to various technology deployment efforts at Brinker with an emphasis on its Brands and in-restaurant technology systems or supporting systems. This position is responsible for developing release schedules, task management, scheduling, installation services and support and working closely with Procurement and Supply Chain. Will work with the Business Community and Vendor Partners to gather and translate requirements to Implementation needs or activities.

Your Key Job Functions

  • Manage both onshore and offshore teams in a follow-the-sun support methodology.

  • Aid in the design and creation of processes required to implement IT technology.

  • Aid in the deployment, execution and fulfillment of IT technologies in the restaurants.

  • Work closely with other IT teams and departments including construction, facilities and operations to assist in determining the requirements for implementation (ie. building facilities requirements, 3rd party vendor selection for installation, budget management, hardware procurement and lead times).

  • Own and manage deployment activities associated to New Restaurant Openings across varying facets of technology and systems required.

  • Manage vendors and 3rd parties assigned to varying deployment projects.

  • Participate in vendor selection, SOW creation and contract negotiations.

  • Familiarity with lead time management, logistics and procurement processes.

  • Serve as an IT resource across varying projects and internal discussions/meetings where technology deployment and implementation is a key factor.

  • Aid in maintaining documentation for projects, processes and relative responsible areas.

  • Aid in vendor support and quality assurance for 3rd party implementation vendors.

  • Should be knowledgeable enough on restaurant technology concepts to drive discussion with both business community as well as IT peers.

  • Partner and Participate with Technology Product Owners to align with roadmaps, deployments and future planning.

  • Partner and Participate with Restaurant Engineering to facilitate a closed circle "Strategy > Build > Run" methodology.

  • Establish, Maintain and Improve upon specific Dept and Team metrics as applicable to role.

  • Provide direct-report coaching, mentoring and leadership. Establish a regular one-on-one cadence for direct reports, assist in career development and annual personnel performance reporting.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Experience in Microsoft OS, Microsoft Products, System Center and Configuration Management, Microsoft Office Suite, Entune, MS SQL Server 2012, Linux/OpenSource, NCR Software, NCR Hardware, QSR Automations, Smartsheet, Epson, and HP and Dell hardware.

  • 5 years of working experience in support technical platforms in a customer/client-oriented service model.

  • 5 years of working experience working in a technical capacity within an environment supporting hospitality, fast-casual, quick service or big/small-box retail.

  • Relevant experience managing multiple direct reports

  • Relevant experience managing contracted and offshore/remote resources.

  • Knowledge of logical, physical technology modeling.

  • Should have good trouble shooting acumen and "can do" attitude.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Able to manage multiple medium to large scale projects simultaneously.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly.

  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.

  • Work independently when required.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Travel and field installation work is involved.

  • College degree

  • Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA Certifications or Relevant Certifications or work experience

  • Microsoft certification or Relevant Certifications for alternate product sets
