Accountabilities:
Oversee the deployment phase of the CBTC project, ensuring efficient and timely implementation.
Coordinate with Hitachi Rail teams and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
Reviews the overall planning of project activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
Provides and presents project status reviews to client to be the primary contact for client in relation to the deployment activities.
Create and maintain a strong client relationship.
Represent the Project at site coordination meetings with the Client and liaise with various project entities, third parties and/or stakeholders.
Participate in reporting to the Project Manager and VP of Construction on the progress and status of work, forecasting risks and opportunities and reporting any deviations of scope, schedule, cost or quality to the Project Manager to maintain the commercial position of the project.
Ensure the project is performed to the standard safety and quality assurance requirements.
Follow the work progress of all Construction activities to accurately oversee Hitachi and Subcontractor quality standards, in collaboration with the quality manager.
Ensure compliance with the Approved for Construction Design and the management of any non-conformances in accordance with the Quality Plan.
Coordinate with the Commissioning Manager for handover of the installed system and subsequent test, commissioning and start-up activities.
Defining the execution of the commissioning activities (sequence of activities, optimization of the use of resources) in alignment with contract requirements, budget and company guidelines
Overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of Test Procedure
Accountable for the site interface management with the Client/Engineer/Third parties during the test and commissioning phase
Required Skills/ Knowledge:
Proven experience as a Deployment Manager in rail or transportation projects for no less the 5-7 years
Familiarity with CBTC systems and associated technologies
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Demonstrated experience in managing subcontractors and key stakeholders on projects
Ability to familiarize with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of the project.
Detailed knowledge of Design-Build projects.
Understanding of Construction and commissioning quality standards
Successfully handle pressures associated with site works in a brown field environment.
Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential business information.
Desired Skills/ Knowledge:
Construction and installation of rail transit systems or other complex systems in urban environments.
Effective Partnering and Teaming skills.
Technical writing.
Construction Management software knowledge such as procore.
MS Office tools.
Education:
Engineering or industrial management background. Relevant knowledge to ensure that the company is producing high-quality installation and documents that meet customer expectations.
Languages:
Written and spoken English proficiency.
In accordance with the DOT's FRA and FTA programs, Hitachi's substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees, as required for safety-sensitive positions.
The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $190,000 per year. Final pay is determined by the candidate's experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
