This position is responsible for reviewing requests and determining eligibility for all Interstate Compact Adoption Medicaid (ICAMA) assistance for adopted children in the State of Michigan.
Additionally, this position is the primary contact interacting with other states, private child placing agencies and families regarding requests for Michigan Medicaid for children adopted in another state and moving to Michigan.
This position reviews the out of state requests, evaluates and verifies documents required to determine and certify ICAMA eligibility.
This position also updates and maintains the hearings and ICAMA databases and generate pertinent data.
Position completes summary reports identifying trends for management review.Position Description Required Education and Experience EducationPossession of a high school diploma or a GED Certificate.Experience Departmental Technician 7One year of experience performing experienced-level administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.Departmental Technician 8One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.OROne year of experience performing advanced-level administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.Departmental Technician E9Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.OROne year of experience performing advanced secretarial or supervisory administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
Alternate Education and Experience Departmental Technician 7Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.Departmental Technician 8Possession of a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.Departmental Technician E9Possession of a Bachelor's degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
