This position functions as a licensing liaison for international applicants within the Bureau and will be assigned to the Licensing Division to assist internationally trained, educated, and/or experienced applicants with matters related to compliance with administrative rules and statutory requirements for licensing in state and federal regulations affecting all license types regulated by the Bureau. The liaison has primary responsibility for the ongoing analysis of requirements, policies, and procedures that may pose unnecessary barriers to foreign trained, educated, and/or experienced individuals as well as synthesizing this analysis into easily digestible licensing guides for the public for each profession regulated by the Bureau.
Functions as the Bureau's and Licensing Division's primary resource to the public, and internal and external stakeholders, for regulatory issues pertaining to foreign trained, educated, and experienced applicants. The liaison is responsible for the evaluation of existing policies, while focusing on identifying strategies that reduce barriers to licensure for foreign trained, experienced, and/or educated applicants while also implementing further policies, strategies and investments that may assist in the removal of barriers to licensure.
POSITION DESCRIPTION

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
Equivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11-level and above. The nonprofessional experience must be related to departmental programs and services that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certain positions may be assigned subclass codes and individuals appointed must possess the required specialized experience.
