Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Gathers information, analyzes and interprets data, disseminates information; helps formulate goals, protocols and information gathering methods for the EDRA program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Management:

  • With guidance from the program director as necessary, oversees the daily activities of the EDRA program including direct supervision of 30-40 EDRA staff. This includes but is not limited to developing and managing schedules, performance assessments, managing disciplinary action and performance improvement plans, providing direct guidance to staff when needed. Reporting of issues to Program Director for transparency and guidance. Responsible for ensuring necessary tools and supplies are accessible and functional.

Program Development:

  • Engages study teams throughout enterprise to explain services. Development of quotes for projects and analysis of resources available to complete projects within a given timeline. Analysis of electronic medical record reports, internal databases, and historical EDRA data to determine ability to enroll and meet deadlines. Development of study specific materials including consent forms, case report forms and REDCap databases.

Programmatic Education:

  • Education of staff regarding new research protocols as well as ongoing re-education as necessary on current protocols. Education may involve developing or adapting training, reference and resource materials. Will also include assigning various training modules (e.g.CITI, MyPath, etc.), running reports and presenting to leadership. Conducts regular quality improvement audits and offers feedback to study team. Reports findings to Program Director with potential solutions to any issues.

Program Maintenance:

  • Recruitment of new interns each semester including website maintenance, distribution of recruitment materials to undergraduate listservs, updating/releasing applications via REDCap surveys, reviewing applications (~ 180/semester), choosing best applicants to interview (~30-40) and participation in the interview process. Facilitating the registration for those selected to participate (~17-19.)
  • Keeps current with all federal, state, sponsor, and institutional policies and laws, standard operating procedures, and guidelines and makes recommendations. Demonstrates accountability for continuous learning in accordance with Good Clinical Practice standards and guidelines. Keeps current with industry standards, best practices, and trends in therapeutic areas relevant to research studies. Makes recommendations and implements changes as appropriate.

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 2 year's experience in the analysis and dissemination of information required.

  • 1 year of experience in human subject research coordination preferred

  • or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of REDCap programming and data analysis software and Epic electronic patient records system preferred.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $50,752 - $71,053 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
