Departmental Analyst 9-P11

The Strategic Alignment & Engagement Analyst provides coordination, analysis, and decision-making support within the Strategic Alignment & Engagement section for a wide variety of projects and initiatives related to data and technology that are of strategic significance to MDHHS. The Analyst will perform project management, research, and make recommendations related to the Department's data strategy, HIT Roadmap, and other information technology projects and initiatives. This position will frequently engage with other state/federal Departments and external stakeholders to support the development and implementation of aligned strategies and policies related to technology and data sharing.

As a senior analyst this position provides coordination, analysis, and decision-making support within the Strategic Alignment & Engagement section for a wide variety of projects and initiatives related to data and technology that are of strategic significance to MDHHS. Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10

One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Departmental Analyst 12

Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Position Location/Remote Office:   This position will work remotely.

Occasional travel to the office located at 333 S. Grand Ave. in Lansing may be required.

Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Employees will be provided computers to perform state work.  Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:                

        o A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.

        o A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

        o Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
