This position is responsible for coordinating programs, grants, and activities toward achieving the mission and vision of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), Executive Office's Office of Climate and Energy (OCE). Duties include event and meeting management, grant management and administration, office procedures and coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities. This position will provide support to the work of the Chief Climate Officer by coordinating projects and initiatives within the OCE.

This position will support and provide assistance to various climate and energy initiatives, work groups, pilot programs, and committees. This position will develop and manage content for the OCE website. This position will conduct and analyze research in order to handle and thoroughly respond to communications and requests from Michigan's residents related to climate and energy. This position will coordinate with EGLE's divisions on issues related to climate and energy.

Position Description

The selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person) or a fully remote work schedule (with occasional travel to their official work location). Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.

When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10

One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
