POSITION DUTIES - This position serves as an analyst on driver license programs and issues that have Department-wide/State-wide impact by researching, collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and maintaining program data necessary to meet program reporting and evaluating requirements, and the goals of the agency program or service. The position establishes, administers and evaluates on-going program operations and recommends modification of policies and procedures to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness. The position designs forms; designs and conducts surveys or special studies and conducts research and analysis, consolidates data, prepares reports, and conducts correspondence related to the work activities of the Departmental program area; analyzes develops and recommends alternative State and Departmental strategies to address and resolve a variety of issues and problems; interprets existing and proposed laws, policies, and procedures as they relate to a program or service area; handles issues affecting the day to day operations of the section.
