You are accountable for merchandise availability, department standards, and financial performance of your area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by greeting and answering their questions

  • Tour your department to ensure it meets our customers' expectations

  • Work hand-in-hand with sales associates to get the job done

  • Prepare and plan for upcoming events that will impact your department

  • Ability to communicate, take direction at all levels, and turn it into action

  • Use basic math skills to maintain accurate inventory levels


Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience or experience in a retail environment preferred

Job Purpose Oversee the manufacture and delivery of the highest quality products in the most cost-efficient, timely and safest manner to meet or exceed customer expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Determine priorities, set tasks, direct workflow, outline materials methods, and provide direction for assembly and QA personnel that meet the business plan and work force utilization requirements. Directly manage those personnel assigned including staffing and personnel placement, employee relations, performance appraisals, discipline and termination, salary administration, mentoring, and career development. * Establish departmental goals and objectives that provide world-class performance to the organization. Establish and track meaningful departmental reports & measurements. Ensure proper execution through the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and metrics. Ensure MDI Level 6 Boards are filled out hourly by production members, and issues are addressed as needed. Ensure that the Company Escalation Policy is followed. * Coordinate and communicate with other department representatives to ensure Assembly and QA activities are aligned to achieve the schedule, fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, ensure on-time delivery, and meet or exceed customer requirements and business goals. * Develop, update, and implement operating and quality control procedures, and ensure they are met. Ensure established procedures and processes are followed. Proactively lead the Assembly and QA team to continuously improve processes and procedures. * Ensure accuracy of data in the SAP system including location, WO confirmations, quantity on hand, etc. * Champion continuous improvement efforts with the Assembly and QA Team. * Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards. * Organize and maintain Assembly and QA areas for efficient material flow, storage and handling, including labeling, age sensitive materials, and single piece flow. * Participate in and support safety audits. Review and ensure compliance with the Company's safety program. * Champion continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications. * Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. * Improve Production Absorption Hours Qualifications Education and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Four Year Degree. Engineering Degree Preferred. * Minimum five years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. * Minimum two years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. * Knowledge of Lean, Toyota, Demming, 6Sigma (Variation Reduction), and other similar Process Improvement tools preferred. * Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an advanced level not limited to: Word, creating Excel spreadsheets, graphs and charts, preparing presentations and using statistical software to analyze and interpret process data. * Demonstrated understanding of inventory movements and associated ERP/MRP transactions. SAP experience preferred. * General knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly, QA principles; knowledge and experience in Managing Assembly Operations. * Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, and thorough with strong planning, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. * Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
