Department Manager, Med Surg/Tele

Responsibilities

The Manager provides leadership, direction, and administration for the Medical Surgical/Tele Department. The incumbent is responsible for providing guidance in the areas of compliance, safety and quality and nursing practice.

The Manager will oversee staff retention, education and competency, and support the professional development of the staff. Incumbent will develop and maintain a departmental budget, maintaining high patient satisfaction, acting as a liaison and facilitator to all other clinical areas of the hospital. The Manager will be looked to create and maintain a culture of nursing and service excellence for Medical Surgical/Tele.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Masters degree preferred

Minimum of three (3) years experience in Supervisory role

Five (5) years experience as Registered Nurse in acute care setting, requiredLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Registered Nurse in PA - Licensed, required

Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required

NIH Stroke Certification, upon hire, required

ACLS, upon hire, required
