Work shifts will primarily be afternoons and evenings.

Job Summary

Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare.

Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

This internship will support athletic health and performance research. Activities will be conducted at the Sanford Sports Complex, as well as at off-site locations. Some work may be done remotely.

o Prepare laboratory / equipment for research testing

o Assist with off-site testing of research subjects

o Assist with lab-based testing of research subjects

o Create spreadsheets and conduct basic to complex data analysis

o Perform literature reviews and reports

Qualifications:

o Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: kinesiology, exercise science, athletic training, pre-medicine or closely related field; or recent graduate from one of these programs

o Must be responsible, mature and act professionally

o Technical proficiency and above-average knowledge of computer technology is preferred

o Knowledge of exercise physiology as it relates to athletic performance is preferred

o Knowledge of neurology, neurocognitive function and/or concussion is preferred

o Knowledge of statistics and data analytics is preferred

o Past human subjects research experience is preferred
