Lab technicians with Aspen Dental work for Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI), a dental support organization that provides all non-clinical support services to Aspen Dental-branded practices. As a lab technician with ADMI, you'll work on-site in a modern Aspen Dental practice handcrafting high-quality full and partial dentures. With state-of-the-art equipment and instruments on site, you'll have the best tools at your disposal. You'll also enjoy regular hours, technical training, a competitive salary and benefit package as well as the opportunity to advance into a managerial role.

With an average of six new patients per day, you'll be a part of the patient experience from impression to insert. You'll work alongside the dentist in the office, offering your expertise to ensure patients receive quality and timely service.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate high quality denture prosthetics.

  • Complete prosthetic repairs, relines and re-bases.

  • Operate within all company-established protocols

  • Preparation of laboratory supply orders while staying within determined budgetary guidelines.

  • Collaborate with dentists to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Advanced training in dental lab technology preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years proven experience with the complete fabrication of quality prosthetic denture products from start to finish.

Responsibilities * Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately. Supports, participates in and complies with LEAN work and productivity standards * Collects/Obtains, labels, and delivers specimens in accordance with standards, and policies of available information systems * Prioritizes, performs, judges, and reports routine procedures within established policies time guidelines * Maintains equipment, inventory, and work area, and documents appropriately * Performs, evaluates, and documents troubleshooting and problem-solving activities * Documents and maintains quality control (QC), proficiency testing, quality assurance, and other records to meet regulatory requirements Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Requirements Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position. Preferred or Specialized Not required to perform the essential functions of the position. Education: Education must be an Associate Degree in Biological or Chemical or MLT (or demonstrate 60 hours as defined by the College of American Pathology) from an accredited School or a U.S. Military Occ. Specialty of Medical Laboratory, or previously qualified before 1995 according to CLIA qualifications which is sufficient to allow certification under one of the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certifying Agencies' examination routes. Must meet Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and College of American Pathology (CAP) requirements to perform highly complex testing. Additionally, any regulatory agency personnel standards, which are applicable to the position, must be met. Certifying Agencies include but are not limited to the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC), American Medical Technologist (AMT) Certification, and American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB) Board of Registry (ABOR) or U.S Military Laboratory Training Program. As long as these are met, any exam may be taken. Experience: Experience in clinical laboratory disciplines sufficient to allow certification under one of the Medical Laboratory Technician Certifying Agencies' examination routes. License(s)/Certification(s): Technician Certification (MLT) within one (1) year of employment Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
