Our company is growing rapidly, and we are currently in search of a part-time dentist to help our growing families! We are looking for an experienced dentist who is passionate about caring for patients and treating their oral health needs. You will perform dental exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat patients throughout their lifetime.

Valley Healthcare System, Inc. in Columbus, Georgia, is currently seeking a full-time dentist to join their team. The position offers an annual salary starting at $130,637.00 and involves providing comprehensive dental care, including adult and pediatric exams, diagnoses, x-rays, restorations, prosthesis construction, extractions, and root canal therapy. Candidates must hold a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) and adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local medical service requirements, including HIPAA Privacy & Security regulations.

Salary:

$130,637 - Commensurate with experience

Hours of operation:

Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

Columbus, Ga; Fortson, Ga; Talbotton, Ga

Benefits:

We pay 100% of our employees' benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision coverage. This is worth $14,000 a year, which includes $3,000 towards your deductible that you receive on a Health Spending Visa for any co-pays, prescriptions and medical expenses that may occur.

Duties and Responsibilities: The authority and duties of the Dentist shall include but not be limited to:

  • To provide direct dental care, this includes exam and diagnosis, x-ray, placements and restoration, construction of prosthesis, teeth extractions, and root canal therapy
  • To provide consultation to Executive Director regarding planning, evaluation and development dental services
  • To coordinate dental services with other professional services; To maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date patient files and records
  • To maintain cognizance of state and federal regulations and to effect Center compliance for reporting, licensing and code requirements
  • To participate in meetings, conferences, and committees to develop and maintain high quality health care and complete patient care plans and reviews; To maintain records, files, logs and reports in accordance with Center policy
  • To maintain and care for equipment
  • To perform other duties as required.

Evaluation: The evaluation of work performance, including: specific duties, responsibilities, demeanor, and work ethic, will be ongoing and implemented by the Director per center policies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: The evaluation of work performance (specific duties and responsibilities plus attitude and general working behavior) will be ongoing and implemented by Executive Director or Medical Director per Center policies.

Status: FLSA exempt position; OSHA high risk position; ADA negotiable position.

Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures and all Federal, State and Local medical service requirements. To include HIPAA Privacy & Security.

Confidentiality (HIPAA): Every employee is required to sign a Pledge of Confidentiality. Failure to comply with our Pledge of Confidentiality can or will lead to immediate termination of employment. Confidentiality applies to a patient's Personal Health Information (PHI) and includes: written, oral and electronic communications. Each employee has an obligation to maintain confidentiality after their employment/association with this facility ends.

Security (HIPAA): Every employee is required to protect their computer log-on and password. You must secure your work area prior to leaving it unattended for an extended period of time. You are required to log-off of your computer and secure your work area prior to leaving at the end of the day. If you have a responsibility for closing or locking files, securing equipment, or locking the building and you do not comply with these requirements, you will be subject to reprimand and/or termination based upon the infraction. We are required by law to protect patient privacy, identifiable patient information, and all properties containing such information.

Physical Requirements: Varied activities include standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. Employee must possess full range of body motion including the ability to assist or lift patients when necessary; occasional weight bearing to exceed 50 pounds, use of portable stretchers/wheelchairs encouraged. Employee must possess hand-eye coordination with normal range of vision and hearing abilities. This position frequently requires working under stressful conditions and frequently requires irregular work hours.

Environmental Working Conditions: This position includes both administrative and medical responsibilities. Employee is frequently exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical cleaning and processing solutions which my included ionizing radiation plus other elements common in a clinical environment.
