Position: Full-Time Dentist

Location:Island Pond Dental Clinic & Orleans Dental Clinic

Northern Counties Health Care (NCHC) is seeking a dedicated and community-focused full-time Dentist to join our team, working between our Island Pond and Orleans Dental Clinics. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a provider passionate about serving diverse communities and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care: Provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and patient education. Services include, but are not limited to, operative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthetics, periodontics, and preventive care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in continuity of care by managing patient referrals.
• Emergency Coverage: Participate in after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis.
• Community Engagement: Contribute to health education initiatives through public presentations and screening events.
• Staff Leadership: Supervise Dental Hygienists and Assistants in alignment with NCHC and state policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited dental school with a DDS, DMD, or DPH degree.
• Licensed to practice dentistry in Vermont; Board and State certifications required.
• One year of experience in community-based dental care or completion of an accredited dental residency program preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and compassionately within a team-oriented environment.
