OUTCOMES OF THE ROLE

The mission of an Adventure Dental Associate Dentist is to provide preventive and restorative dental care for all patients as well as instructing staff on how to assist in patient treatment and educating parents and patients regarding preventive practices!

Leadership: Demonstrates solid leadership skills as consistent with being a doctor level provider in the healthcare environment, including but not limited to: following policies and procedures, coaching and mentoring other teammates, having a positive attitude, showing empathy and care to patients, and helping the broader team develop solutions and continually improve the patient experience and the practice. Compliance: Follows all Company policies and procedure and proactively report any concerns of non-compliant behaviors observed or learned of occurring in the practice.

Competently examine patients, diagnose diseases and effectively treat and perform all necessary procedures. Educate: Develop a friendly relationship with the parents and patients for all who call Adventure Dental their dental home. Educating parents and patients regarding all aspects of treatment and staying informed on latest dental treatment techniques are important aspects of providing a quality dental experience to the patients we serve!

Works well with Practice Manager and Lead Dentist in pursuit of the practice's goals. Collaboration: Provide camaraderie and inspiration to peers and dental auxiliary team by (1) displaying passion and optimism (2) remaining open to others' ideas (3) being able to work in a fast-paced environment with team and (4) including staff in planning, decision making and process improvement. Hero Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Hero Practice Support Center team to (1) implement new programs and initiatives (2) provide feedback and ideas on improvement areas.

DESIRED SKILLS

Clinical Skills:
Command of dental concepts and skillset, including thorough knowledge and experience in pediatric dentistry.

Must be comfortable having other dentists directly observe them in treatment for education and training purposes. We encourage parents to be present in treatment areas with their child.

Coach & Mentor: Experience improving others' skills, talents, and aspirations.

Computer Skills:
Able to easily navigate typical applications, including those used for our electronic medical records and HR information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a graduate of an accredited U.S. Dental School.

Current dentist license in the state where the practice is located preferred

Medicaid Provider number and NPI number preferred.

Responsible for keeping license active, current and in good standing.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Full-time, exempt position. Competitive salary and benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k). The Company also offers a bonus program that rewards Dentists for achieving desired performance goals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally 50lbs.

This position will enhance the Board's capability of identifying, communicating, and implementing critical programming, training and outreach needs. This position helps to advance the goal of protecting the public by providing dental training to all stakeholders, including licensees, board members, staff, dental associations, government officials and others. This position will recommend educational remediation stipulations in Board Orders. This position will organize special projects as directed by the Executive Director and the Board. This position will develop outreach opportunities which will inform stakeholders of the Board's mission, and the CDO will recruit expert witnesses, sedation and anesthesia evaluators who will help the Board fulfill its mission. This position will develop communication mediums that will be provided to stakeholders. This position will work to recognize emergent dental trends, and this employee will review clinical aspects of proposed regulations and legislation. This position will represent the Board at meetings and other functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Determined by the State Board of Dental Examiners under the licensing requirements for Dentists. Experience: Two years of experience in the practice of dentistry. Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute possession of a Master's degree in Public Health for one year of the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Dental Officer classifications or Dental Corpsman or Officer specialty codes in the dental field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The preferred candidate should possess the following: * Experience practicing dentistry. * Experience speaking before groups of people. * Experience in both developing educational materials and creating venues to reach out to the public as well as dentists and dental hygienists. * Experience translating dental terminology into layman's terms. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS 1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Dentist from the State Board of Dental Examiners, 4201 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215-2299. A copy of your license or license number should accompany your application. 2. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess or be eligible to obtain controlled substances registration certificates issued by the federal government and the State of Maryland in order to prescribe narcotic medication. 3.
