Job Description
Responsible for the clinical management of the patient's dental condition. Forms an open and supportive therapeutic relationship with patients in a bilingual, culturally sensitive manner. Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with clinic personnel, outside agencies and provider referrals in order to facilitate the best and most effective patient care and education. Participates in and supports community wellness projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide quality dental treatment and care
- Compassionately communicate treatment plans and instructions.
- Examine patients, diagnose both adult and pediatric patients and formulate appropriate treatment plan.
- Educates patient on oral health.
- Establishes and maintains positive interpersonal relationships and keeps lines of communication open with dental care team and community agencies.
- Attends and participates in regular departmental, organizational and committee meetings, conferences, work shops, etc.
- Participates in and/or contributes to community wellness projects and initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to supervise and oversee staff in the provision of dental services.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Required Education
Graduate from an American Dental Association accredited dental training program with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.)
- Current Texas License for dental practice.
- CPR Certification.
- Complete 12 hours annually of continuing education.
Required Experience
A minimum of one year of dental practice experience or equivalent residency training.
