Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our team at Dr. Sean Avera's periodontal practices in Auburn and Grass Valley. The primary role of the Dental Treatment Coordinator is to partner with clinicians to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for our patients while maintaining a financially viable practice.

In this role, the Dental Treatment Coordinator will be the first point of contact for our patients and will set the tone for their experience. They maintain productive schedules, verify patient insurance information, and collect all co-pays at checkout. The hourly wage range for this position is $20-25/hour depending on experience.

What You'll Be Accountable For:

• Greet and check in all patients in a friendly and professional manner.

• Maintain a safe and positive environment for patients.

• Maintain productive schedules and confirm appointments.

• Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.

• Obtain any necessary insurance pre-authorization and referral documentation.

• Respond to patient billing, treatment, and benefit inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory bodies.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office manager.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year dental office experience preferred

• Excellent organizational skills

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Patient advocate; empathetic, adaptable, and ethical

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Periodontal experience a plus
